HELP WANTED
I need a part time cleaner at Ruff Cuts. The hours are Tuesdays and Fridays, 3-5pm. The job is ideal for a student that can come after school on those days. Duties will include dusting and wiping clean everything in the shop, as well as vacuuming, organizing and taking out trash. See Don at Ruff Cuts.
Personal Tips
The colder seasons aren’t necessarily the best time to keep your dogs’ coat longer. Snow and ice can easily accumulate to make a dangerous and messy snowball of your dog. I always say a nice moderate length can be attractive, as well as functional, all year long.
Even a short cut isn’t a bad idea in the Winter. Dogs bodies are different from humans and they don’t mind the cold weather the same way we do. And they have good common sense. If they are cold, they’ll come inside and find a nice, warm place to curl up in.
Remember, if you are sensitive to your dogs odor, you should try the Premium Shampoo Treatment with Isle of Dogs. It costs a little more but has proven itself, over and over again. People say that all shampoos are the same but people that have tried Isle of Dogs know different.
Skunk odor remedy
1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
ΒΌ cup baking soda
1 tsp. liquid soap
Mix together and use 3 times, immediately, until smell is nearly gone. Use over full body if desired after a couple of applications to sprayed areas only.
WARNING:
A. Use on areas that got sprayed, do not shampoo all over animal. Skunk spray is an oil and will spread to other parts by scrubbing onto other areas.
B. Do not store. Discard what is not used.
C. Peroxide can dry skin so be careful how much you shampoo with this formula. It can also make the coat lighter in color.
